Daily Tour to Dajt Mountain

Dajti, standing at 1,613 m (5,292 ft) above sea level, is a mountain and national park on the edge of Tirana, Albania. The Dajti belongs to the Skanderbeg range. In winter, the mountain is often covered with snow, and it is a popular retreat for the local population of Tirana, which rarely sees snowfalls. Its slopes have forests of pine, oak, and beech.

Dajti National Park was declared a national park in 1966 and has had an expanded area of about 29,384 hectares since 2006. The area is under shared jurisdiction between the Albanian Agency for Protected Areas (AKZM) and the Tirana Municipality Parks and Recreation Agency (APR).

Mount Dajti National Park (1,611 m above sea level) is easily accessible from the city, just 25 km to its east. On a weekend trip, there is a very popular activity for people from Tirana. The cable car station is just 20 minutes by car or bus from the center of Tirana, and from where you take the cable car to have a wonderful experience. A quarter of an hour later, you are near the top of the mountain, where there are wonderful panoramic views of the city, villages, forests, sea, and traditional houses, as well as quirky idiosyncrasies such as the bunkers.

It’s a perfect place to relax and breathe in the fresh air, taking you far from the buzzing city below. There are many restaurants on the mountain where you can enjoy delicious food, or alternatively, you can take a picnic with friends and family to the park.

✿ Arrival at the station of Dajti Ekspres where we will take the cable car;

✿ It takes 15-minute scenic journeys over forests, farms, hilltops, and even bunkers. Dajti Express is the longest cablecar in the Balkans;

✿ Coffee break at Dajti Tower Bar which rotates 360 degrees giving you an incredible view of both the national park and the city of Tirana below;

✿ Time to explore the area around;

✿ Visit Dajti Adventure Park, a Zipline & Aerial Adventure Park in the heart of Dajti Mountain, entertain and challenge yourself;

✿ Free time for lunch, Ballkoni Dajtit it’s a very recommended place where you can enjoy delicious food served with a fantastic view of the city of Tirana;

✿ In return, we can visit Bunkart 1, a unique Albanian history museum inside a preserved, Communist-era nuclear pit bunker. *(Optional & seasonal)
